To eliminate some of my holiday-blues I thought I'd write a post all about our time away in Spain :) We went for 5 days to my uncle's apartment in Murcia just to relax and celebrate the finishing of my first year at uni! It came just at the right time as both of us needed a good rest and some time together after weeks of hard work! This post will be pretty picture-heavy so I hope you enjoy looking at a few nice details from our trip along with a good sprinkling of selfies haha!
On our first night, we arrived after the supermarkets had shut so we walked up to a little Italian and got some pizza and spaghetti carbonara to take away... yum yum yum! We took it out onto the balcony and just had some chill out time together whilst we tucked in!
When we woke up the next day, we took a walk up to get some food shopping... and I got a free ride back! (Thanks Matthew!)
Outside the apartment there's a nice pool and a spa (underground just behind the little pool shower if you can see) so we spent lots of time down there just relaxing and having fun in the sun!

I actually picked up my very first pair of raybans at the airport before we flew out... and I've fallen in love with them! Very simple, quite plan but absolutely perfect for me! :)
This evenings antics? We bought some Spanish equivalent of Corona and couldn't find a lime in any shops... so on the way back to the apartment we quickly picked a lime from a lime tree in someone's garden! Probably about the most reckless thing I've ever done haha... it tasted (and smelt) DELICIOUS!
After a movie night (with an excessive amount of gummy bears and cheetos!) we had a delicious breakfast on the balcony... yup the extra cereal is mine (cereal queen over here in case you didn't know!)
Then we got ready for the beach! I opted for my red bikini as it makes me feel like a Special K lady haha... I've always wanted the iconic red swimsuit, but the only ones I could find were over the £100 mark so I went for this bikini from ASOS instead!
Suncreaming! The khiel's light daytime one (SPF 50) we used was beautiful!
The water was so clear and actually pretty warm!
After lots of ice cream and a gorgeous day at the beach... we went for dinner and Matthew had his favourite... fillet steak which he was clearly very pleased with ^^^ ! :D
Day 4: Wearing a little T shirt dress from Accessorize which was SUPER comefy!
Bought some rubber rings... essential!
We spent most of the day swimming around (floating around haha) as it was 32 degrees! Lucky for me, I didn't actually burn yippeee!
Don't you be stealing no oranges this time! hahaha... most of our walks during the week were filled with wrapping Eminem lyrics... I was surprisingly not too bad I don't think haha!

Later that night, Matthew made us some really nice food and we sat up on the rooftop to eat it whilst the sun was setting... thank goodness it had cooled down a lot by this time!
I wore my shorts and top (from zara) and sandals (from new look) which was probably my favourite little dressed-up outfit which is surprising as I've never been a shorts girl before! I also spent a bit longer on my make up which always makes you feel nice doesn't it- wearing Mac's Costa Chic Lipstick and I loved it! Not too peachy to prevent some clashing with my hair haha

Day 5: We went to a place called Torrevieja where there is a little market, quite a few shops/restaurants and a beautiful promenade littered with small beaches!

We actually visited the exact same spot as we did last year when we went with family!
Our HUGE sea-side lunch! Matthew had a chicken AND beef kebab which we totally demolished! The ice tea was really nice too!

Believe it or not... it was actually 9pm when we were out having dinner and it was still this light!
On our last day, we spent about 3 hours in the spa just hopping from pool to steam room, from sauna to jacuzzi and so on! This is the life eh!

:( home time!
Whilst we were waiting for our airport transfer, we decided to take a little walk over to a park that we sat on last year... but first... I found a little lonely flower and decided to have a quick photo haha!
All smiles here... but little did we know we were about to face 7 hours of delays to get home! We didn't end up making it back until 5am the next morning... we weren't quite in the mood to catch many photos haha, but I thought I'd quickly add that in anyway! Jet2.com have lots to answer for!
So that's it for our little Spanish break! I hope you enjoyed this post... which could probably just be entitled "photo album" as it's pretty much all photographs haha! It was actually quite a hard job scaling it down as we actually took about 300 pictures along with about 100 videos... oops... sorry laptop- I realise your storage is about to burst! Anyway, I had the most amazing time, making lots more special memories we will keep forever! I always feel like it's not about where you go or what you do, it really is what you make of it. Planning things, doing things and a bit of excitement is so important... especially for us young'uns! I hope you know, Chatthew Meng, that "life would suck without youuuu"!
