My Bedroom at Christmas time!

It's that time of year!! Christmas is here!! I've saved this blog post for mid-December so that it's up at a reasonable time to have decorations up... although they have been up for a few weeks now! haha... In this post I wanted to share some of my favourite Christmassy bits in my bedroom to either spread a few festive feelings or to give people a little inspiration for their Christmas trees! However... I must point out right from the word go, that my little tree could quite possibly win the messiest tree of the year award! Every year, I spend so long putting it up and arranging all the special baubles... and yet it still looks totally thrown together! haha... oh well! On we go...

HEY SHOPPERS, TAKE A GUESS WHERE THESE TWO PRESENTS ARE FROM!?

Here is my little Christmas tree! I'd say it's between 3ft or 4ft tall (the box is long gone so I couldn't be sure without measuring) and I've had it for quite a while so I'm afraid I have no idea where it's from. As you can see it's just a standard green one (it's fake) so I'm sure they're sold pretty much everywhere. First, I put on one set of colourful fairy lights (I would of opted for clear ones but there were none to be seen in the garage so colours it is)! Then, one piece of gold tinsel followed by my favourite part... the baubles :) It's pretty obvious I haven't gone for any kind of colour scheme, I'd say it looks pretty traditional, with a few special bits that make it feel very personal!

I've also added a few photos to show some of my favourite pieces on the tree :)

Bambi goes at the top of the tree, and I got him a few weeks ago from Disneyland Paris :)

These two little fairies were a gift from my mum :) She has a friend who sells homeware at little party evenings (almost like avon but for homeware) and I think she got these from her. Most of her stock is from the designer, Gisela Graham :)

This is my favourite piece of the tree! It's again from Disneyland Paris... their selection of Christmas baubles was unbelievable... if only I had a bigger suitcase! I really like to have baubles like this on the Christmas tree as it's a real memento which makes it really special when I look at it :)

This too is a recent edition, from a slightly less glamorous... Tesco! I thought he was so cute!

This one is a little guardian angel, with a (slightly worn) message from my mum on the back... another which will be kept with me forever!

And for the star of the show........

Way too beautiful for words! (Disneyland Paris have done it again!)

I thought I'd also include some other little bits in my room that I put out for Christmas :) I'd say it's all pretty subtle, as most of the decorations go up in the house downstairs... so there's just a few little pieces that I put in my bedroom...

This is my dressing table, which is about 8 years old now as it was built along with some wardrobes. The lamp (next), the white vase and pot (ikea), candles and the little deer (ebay) are there all year round, so I just replaced my make up stands/bags with Christmassy-stuff. The little hanger decoration with hearts and stars is from next, the red/white roses are artificial ones from ikea and the Christmas tin is from Disneyland Paris (it's full of yummy biscuits)! :)

BEDDING: IKEA       CUSHIONS: CATH KIDSTON     TEDDIES: DISNEYLAND

Now, my bed isn't looking particularly Christmassy as my mum decided to do a loving gesture by changing all my bedcovers while I was at uni... so when I came home to take the photos for this blog post, I didn't want to change them back to Christmas ones because these ones were all nice and fresh (nothing beats clean sheets!) Anyway, the throw across the end of the bed is from Disneyland and the little "noel" cushion is from Wilkinsons. I'm never quite sure whether it's Wilkinson or Wilkinsons?

I tend to keep my computer desk pretty sparse as it usually ends up covered in either Christmas cards or presents (or uni work in today's case)! So here, I have a teddy that my mum and dad received as a gift in 2005 (says on his foot haha) from Harrods which I couldn't resist but to borrow (steal haha). My stocking has lost it's hanger, so until it is fixed it can live on the desk!

This little santa is another piece from Gisela Graham! How cute!?

This is not part of the room tour... but it had to sneak in because no bedroom is complete during the festive season... without a Christmas cup on the bedside! :)

MIRROR + BASKET: DUNELM MILL       PEARL HEART: GISELA GRAHAM

And finally... here is a cute little snowman which sits on top of my drawers protecting all the girly bits (perfumes and bath bombs haha). He's from a charity shop and my gran picked up 3 (one for me, her and my mum) ... I think he deserves a better name than snowman so I shall have to work on this! haha

Final, final, fiiiinally... I thought I'd include mum's efforts in the living room because I thought she did a lovely job! All her fireplace decorations (minus the ancient wreaths over the mirror and the fireplace) are from Gisela Graham's Christmas range, and the tree is pretty similar to mine... only a lot less messy!!

So I hope I didn't miss out where anything was from, and that you enjoyed reading :) Hope everyone is excited for Christmas and that your trees look much tidier than mine haha!
