Gold/Black Eyeshadow

First of all, a quick apology that I haven't posted much lately... I've had so much uni work on (still do) but I was getting ready today and decided to do some funky eye shadow so I thought I'd make a blog post :) I'll quickly point out that my blonde roots in my hair are pretty terrible (planning on dying my hair in the next couple of days) so if possible... excuse them! Aaaand, the fact that the flash on my camera managed to make my face look a much paler colour than the rest of my skin... oops! haha... nevertheless, I hope you enjoy seeing how I did my make up this morning :)

I've decided not to make this like a whole face kind of tutorial, as I am by no means great at make up application, I just tried out some different eyeshadow, so that's why I'll only be focusing on my eyes incase anybody wonders! :) First, I used Mac's Painterly Paint Pot to make sure everything stays in place, almost like a primer. Then, I applied Mac's Woodwinked eye shadow with a 239 brush all over my eye lid...

Next, I used a black eye shadow (the one in the Urban Decay Naked Basics palette to be precise) to go in the outer "V" shape of my eye (outer corner while taking it slightly through the crease too) and I kept blending this with a 217 brush from mac to make sure it wasn't too harsh.

After this, I applied some black liquid liner to my lashline (just a standard Rimmel one)

You could just finish with mascara, but I added Ardell's 118 false lashes, and used Mac's Blanc Type eye shadow across my brow bone. I also took woodwinked and the black eye shadow across the bottom of my eye in a thin line.

Ta-daaaa! That's it done! I hope you like it, I'm not really one to stick to a "day" eye make up or a "night" one, I just choose what I fancy, whenever... so I guess this would be more evening for most people... but for me I'd wear this pretty much any time :)

Delightful lazy eyes :( not! haha... I'm sure on most people with less hooded eyes than mine... you'd be able to see the beautiful gold colour much better! But, overall I really liked how this turned out :)

Thanks for reading!
